Leonardo DiCaprio

The 'Titanic' star is said to play in Clint Eastwood's new project about America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in which the actor allegedly will star as J. Edgar Hoover.

Leonardo DiCaprio is preparing to follow in the footsteps of stars like Billy Crudup and Bob Hoskins by playing the director of America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to reports. The actor is in talks to star in a new biopic about J. Edgar Hoover.

The FBI boss has previously been played onscreen by Crudup - in 2009 "Public Enemies" - and Hoskins in Oliver Stone's "Nixon" in 1995. And now DiCaprio is considering tackling the role in Hoover, which Clint Eastwood is slated to direct, reports website Deadline New York.

Leonardo DiCaprio himself has confirmed to EW that he has met Clint Eastwood to discuss about the project. Although the actor said that no deal has been made, he revealed, "It sounds interesting to say the least. There's no contract, no anything, but I'm a huge fan of Clint's."
