Boyzone Honor Stephen Gately by Topping U.K. Albums Chart

Although they were struck with the death of bandmate Stephen Gately, the Irish boyband have succeeded to land number one in U.K. Album chart, beating Gorillaz and Alicia Keys.

Irish boyband Boyzone have topped the U.K. charts with the group's first album since bandmember Stephen Gately's death in October 2009. The singers vowed to continue performing together, and released new record "Brother" in memory of the tragic 33-year-old, who passed away from natural causes at his home in Majorca, Spain.

They beat out competition from Gorillaz album "Plastic Beach", which reached the number two spot. Alicia Keys' "The Element of Freedom" takes third place, while Amy MacDonald's "A Curious Thing" is at number four. Lady GaGa's hit "The Fame Monster" rounds out the top five.

In the British single charts, rapper Tinie Tempah holds on to the number one spot for a second week running with his debut "Pass Out", while Rihanna's "Rude Boy" stays at number two. Justin Bieber is in third with "Baby".
