Emily Blunt Replaces Gabourey Sidibe as Virtuoso Honoree at Film Fest

Following Gabourey Sidibe's scheduling conflict which forced her to skip the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Emily Blunt is named to receive 2010 Chopin Virtuoso Award.

Emily Blunt was named a last-minute recipient of a 2010 Chopin Virtuoso Award - after Gabourey Sidibe was unable to attend the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in California. Sidibe was selected for her stand-out performance in "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire", alongside Carey Mulligan ("An Education"), Saoirse Ronan ("The Lovely Bones") and Michael Stuhlbarg ("A Serious Man") to receive the prize, which recognizes emerging actors in Hollywood.

But scheduling conflicts prevented the newcomer from attending the ceremony, so "The Young Victoria" star Blunt joined the SBIFF Virtuosos winners line-up on Sunday, February 7, accepting a statuette and participating in a question and answer session with her fellow honorees.

Sidibe will accept her Virtuoso Award on Friday, February 12 during a special segment in the SBIFF Cinema Vanguard Awards, where "The Lovely Bones" star Stanley Tucci will be honored. 2009 Virtuosos were Viola Davis, Rosemarie DeWitt, Sally Hawkins, Richard Jenkins, Melissa Leo and Michael Shannon.
