Admitting that country is her favorite music genre, Norah Jones who recently recorded a duet with Willie Nelson eyes a country album.
Norah Jones dreams of indulging her life-long love of country music - by making a "full-on" album dedicated to her favorite genre. The singer, who spent most of her childhood in Texas, recently recorded a duet with Willie Nelson for the veteran singer's "American Classic" standards album.
And Jones admits she's been inspired to fulfill her own musical ambitions by going country. She says, "I love country music. If I listen to Willie Nelson or Hank Williams I feel at home all of a sudden. I'd love to make a full-on country record."
Norah Jones is well known as a jazz singer. In February 2002, she debuted her album "Come Away With Me" which won Best Pop Vocal Album, Album of the Year and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical at 2003 Grammy Awards. Meanwhile, her debut single "Don't Know Why" has helped her to receive Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the same event.
