'Hope for Haiti' Album Rules U.K. Compilations Chart
The album of which tracks performed by several superstars such as Jay-Z and Rihanna is the first digital-only release that reigns the U.K. compilations chart.

Performances from Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Alicia Keys have helped to make the all-star "Hope for Haiti" album the first digital-only release to top the U.K. compilations chart.

The album of tracks performed during George Clooney's charity telethon, including a collaboration between Jay-Z, Rihanna and U2 rockers Bono and The Edge, debuted at number one after selling more than 22,000 units. The news comes just days after the "Hope for Haiti" album hit the top of the U.S. Billboard chart, with digital sales of the telethon's performances raising more than $3 million for the earthquake relief effort.

Meanwhile, Scottish singer Paolo Nutini is number one in the U.K. albums chart with "Sunny Side Up" and Owl City's "Fireflies" remains the nation's most popular single for the second consecutive week.
