'Tweeting' is like dating for rocker John Mayer. The serial Twitter.com user posts small talk snippets about himself and his opinions during regularly updates on the microblogging website, and he has become convinced the constant interaction with his followers is the equivalent of taking someone out for dinner for the first time.
He explains, "Knowing that I could blog right now from my iPhone and it's up on the internet with people reading it and responding to it. How much is that a synthetic version of having dinner with somebody?"
But Mayer realizes potential girlfriends could feel intimidated by his love for the website. He adds, "How intimidating must it be to try to find an 'in' with the man who is consistently satisfying himself by all means necessary? Where is her place in that?" The star has previously dated Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.

It seems John Mayer is a lot smarter than anyone gave him credit for. Except for maybe the person above. I don't follow many people. But I appreciate humor and privacy. It seems the press doesn't get either. Have a magical life John & do whatever you want. I think you were used. I know the feeling. It's not so bad when it's happening but in the morning you feel a little sick. Substance is better than a quick twit.
Can we just give John Mayer a break now. The guy has a twisted great sense of humor. You have to get him. And not take him so seriously. Sarcasm with the press. Is a fun game and his fans get it.
