Charlie Sheen spent Christmas Day behind bars in an Aspen, Colorado jail, according to U.S. reports. The actor, real name Carlos Irwin Estevez, was arrested after allegedly fighting with his wife, Brooke Mueller.

In a statement, a Pitkin County Sheriffs Office spokesman confirmed Sheen was arrested for "second degree assault", "menacing" and "criminal mischief." The spokesman added, "All charges are coupled with a domestic violence component... As with all domestic violence cases, Mr. Estevez will remain incarcerated at the jail until his case undergoes its initial judicial review."

The "Two and a Half Men" actor and Mueller were celebrating Christmas in Aspen with their twin babies, Bob and Max. They exchanged wedding vows at a private estate in the gated Los Angeles community of Beverly Park in May 2008. Mueller is Sheen's third wife after Donna Peele and actress Denise Richards.

Happy to say I'm not a "STAR"! Here if someone does that they just slap a fee on them and 15 days in jail. After of coarse they've dragged the wife down the road by her neck. I feel sorry for you!

Sheen is a typical Hollywood phony. His Dad, Martin Sheen, was and is total nut. The Sheen Family is a collection of kooks of the Hollywood far Left.

A sad result of being a HOLLYWOOD LIBERAL. Sheen attacks former President Bush over '9-1' but Sheen is a part of the Hollywood Lunatic Fringe. Now, we see the results. Q E D!!

Interesting that Sheen was still charged at the bond hearing even after wife recanted her evidence and was considered drunk at the time of the incident
