The 24-year-old NBA star and the British TV presenter, who have been dating for seven months, allegedly choose to share their happy news with only their close friends and family.

AceShowbiz - Ben Simmons is reportedly an engaged man now. If a new report is to be believed, the NBA star has been engaged to his girlfriend Maya Jama as the latter was seen flaunting a huge diamond ring on that finger.
According to Daily Mail, Ben proposed to the British TV present over Christmas after seven months of dating. The newly-engaged couple was spotted having a coffee date in Philadelphia on Monday, January 10 during which Maya was seen wearing the emerald-cut diamond ring.
"This is a classic and elegant emerald cut diamond ring with trapezoid side stones on a white gold or platinum setting," Alexandra Michell, Gemologist Prestige Pawnbrokers of Channel 4's Posh Pawn, told the news outlet of the alleged engagement ring. "The main diamond looks like it weighs approximately a 10carats. It's likely to be a very clean stone being an emerald cut (you can see straight through them), and looks to be very white. I would estimate this to retail for upwards of £600,000."
Additionally, The Sun claimed that Ben and Maya shared their happy news with only their close friends and family. "Ben adores Maya and has fallen head over heels for her," a source told the new outlet.
He allegedly picked up the ring on Jewelers' Row in the diamond district of Philadelphia the day before he proposed. "He chose the ring himself and felt he knew exactly what she would want. Maya said yes and they're both thrilled," the source added. "Ben was so excited, but they've decided to keep the news low-key and tell only those closest to them."
During the outing which took place after their gym session, Maya wore black leggings, trainers and an oversized navy hoodie. Meanwhile, Ben dressed in a gray Nike hoodie and a pair of blue training pants from the same brand. He held his shoes in one of his hands as he chose to walk in Crocs instead.
Before dating Maya, Ben was famously in an on-and-off relationship with Kendall Jenner. The 24-year-old hunk and the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum called it quits in May 2019. As for Maya, she previously dated rapper Stormzy before splitting in 2019.
