Gerard Canonico who once starred with the 'Glee' actress in 'Spring Awakening' co-signs allegations that she was not nice to her co-stars and criticizes her over apology statement.

AceShowbiz - Broadway actor Gerard Canonico has become the latest star to attack Lea Michele for her bad behaviour, hours after she apologised for the way she treated her "Glee" co-star Samantha Ware.

The pregnant actress was hit by a string of allegations from castmates after Ware revealed Lea made her life a "living hell" over the weekend, prompting the "Scream Queens" star to release a statement on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in which she accepted she "clearly acted in ways which hurt other people."

"Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologize for my behaviour and for any pain which I have caused. We all can grow and change and I have definitely used these past several months to reflect on my own shortcomings," she wrote in a statement.

But the attacks keep coming and now Canonico, an understudy in the original Broadway cast of the show "Spring Awakening" in 2006, has responded to her apology.

"You were nothing but a nightmare to me and fellow understudy cast members," he wrote. "You made us feel like we didn't belong there."

"I tried for years to be nice to you to no avail. Maybe actually apologize instead of placing the blame on how others 'perceive' you."

The controversy has cost Michele her role as the celebrity spokesperson for food delivery service HelloFresh.
