The 'Home With You' singer faces backlash for allegedly 'crying about people calling her pretty' while people are trying to raise awareness following the murder of George Floyd.

AceShowbiz - Madison Beer is addressing the criticism leveled against her for whining over being "pretty" while others are trying to raise awareness following the murder of George Floyd. The star took to Twitter on Thursday, May 28 to explain why she decided to talk about plastic surgery rumors on TikTok.

In the said live video, Madison set the record straight on whether she surgically enhanced her look after one passionate critic said she was setting "unrealistic beauty standards" for her followers. She admitted to getting her lips injected, but she "hated it."

"This is literally my f***ing natural face... I'm about to start crying, bro," she went on saying.

However, some people thought that her video was ill-timed considering that there was a riot in Minnepolis following George Floyd's death. "Black people are being killed and Madison Beer is crying about people calling her pretty...," said a user on Twitter.

Madison caught wind of the shade and responded by apologizing. "i just want to briefly address this bc this is upsetting & untrue. me addressing rumors & hate when i did was poor timing & i apologize," she explained. "i saw a video of someone claiming i give people eating disorders which triggered and upset me a lot - bc that is not something i take lightly."

Fans immediately showed support for the "Good in Goodbye" singer. "u can talk about more than one issue at a time !! talking about ur mental health doesn't mean u don't care about blm," one noted.

Another fan shared that Madison did join others to raise awareness about BlackLivesMatter movement, saying, "mads even use her platform to donate and raise awareness and people are coming at her? why yall always wanna find something to bring her down or hate on her? grow up, and get off her nuts."

"you took it off you're chest at least you didn't stay quite don't apologize you're better than that, at least people know that you're a human being and you have emotions etc stay strong i know its tough," one other wrote.

Meanwhile, someone else tweeted, "she has every right to stand up and be upset of what is said about her, she gets countless remarks about her visual appearance setting 'unrealistic beauty standards' which can really mentally hurt someone. the problems going on in the world aren't even in the same vicinity but what's going on doesn't invalidate her feelings or the other hate going on in the world, it's just bad timing. you can't just tell a person to sit down and face their own demons without having a say in it..."
