The release of the Robert Rodriguez-directed visual boosts the second single off GaGa's highly-anticipated 'Chromatica' to number one on iTunes in 26 countries.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa and Ariana Grande have supported their bop-worthy collaboration "Rain On Me" with a brand new music video. Hours after dropping the second single off GaGa's upcoming album "Chromatica", the powerful duo released a futuristic visual that sees them letting loose and dancing in the rain.

The three-minute promo was directed by "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, and opens with GaGa lying on a wet ground. Dressed in pink PVC bodysuit, she has a knife stabbing her thighs. Shortly after she broke into intense dance choreography, Grande made her appearance sporting her signature high ponytail and purple latex dress.

Halfway through the song, the two pop icons came together to dance their heart way in a post-apocalyptic arena along with a colorful dance troupe in the background. At some point in the video, the pair swapped their hairstyles with GaGa sporting a high ponytail and Grande letting her hair down. The video concluded with a shot of the two sharing a hug.

When counting down to the video drop, GaGa took to Twitter to express her appreciation of Grande. "Thank you for reminding me I'm strong, I'm super emotional and love you so very much, I cherish you @ArianaGrande and little monsters without you I don't know how I would survive," she wrote. "I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive."

"Rain On Me" came from GaGa's sixth studio album which will be released on May 29. Speaking to Zane Lowe of Apple Beats 1 about the song, the "Born This Way" hitmaker explained, "This is about an analog of tears being the rain. And you know what it's also a metaphor for, is the amount of drinking that I was doing to numb myself."

The 34-year-old Grammy winner elaborated further, "I'd rather be dry. I'd rather not be drinking, but I haven't died yet. I'm still alive. Rain on me. Okay, I'm going to keep on drinking. This song has many layers."
