Attorneys for New York Giants cornerback Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Dunbar similarly claim they have affidavits from several witnesses who will clear their clients of any charges.

AceShowbiz - NFL stars DeAndre Baker and Quinton Dunbar have denied any wrongdoings after they're named as suspects in armed robbery case. Through their respective attorney, the pro footballers declare their innocence as they say that the are witnesses who back up their claims.

Baker's attorney Bradford Cohen has claimed that his client is "innocent of any charges." The attorney says in a statement, "I want to thank the Miramar Police Department for being professional in regards to surrendering and issues with the case. We understand that the officers can only base warrants on what was told to them at the time."

"We have had affidavits from several witnesses that also dispute the allegations and exculpate our client. Our investigator has had them for some time," he insists. "We would have rather presented them to the court at the proper time, rather than in the media."

Suggesting that the case is blown up for publicity, Cohen adds, "... but in this day and age, where some seek publicity, we seek justice." He continues, "I look forward to moving this case forward to proper conclusion, as we believe our client is innocent of any charges."

Michael Grieco, who represents Dunbar, also tells TMZ Sports that they have affidavits from five witnesses who will clear his client of the incriminating allegations. The attorney says the witnesses came to his office on Friday morning, May 15 and signed the sworn affidavits declaring Dunbar was not involved in the May 13 incident.

"My client is innocent," Grieco insists. "Never been arrested before. This is a man who's never been in handcuffs, never been in trouble. He didn't do anything wrong. He's completely innocent."

Grieco goes on accusing police of "celebrating" the fact they've got high profile suspects to gain public's attention. "They did a virtual touchdown dance on Twitter," he says. "They tagged the Giants and the Seahawks in a tweet. One of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen." Calling it a "bogus case," Grieco also claims that Dunbar "got targeted because of who he was."

Grieco says he's working to get the law enforcement to withdraw the arrest warrant issued for his client, as he fears that Dunbar surrendering to police will risk him of getting exposed to coronavirus. He, however, insists that he's not helping his client hide from cops. "I'm not holding him up anywhere," he states.

Meanwhile, the Miramar Police Department says that the arrest warrants still stand as of Friday, since none of the victims or witnesses has recanted a story to them and neither player has turned himself in. "We have taped, sworn statements from four victims and one witness. If they are changing their statements, we welcome them to come into our police department and give us a new statement," Miramar Police spokeswoman Tania Rues tells ESPN.

Previously, it was reported that Baker and Dunbar robbed fellow guests at a party gone wrong that began on Wednesday evening in Florida. They reportedly took $7,000 in cash, along with several valuable watches including an $18,000 Rolex watch, a $25,000 Hublot and a pricey Audemars Piguet timepiece.

There are conflicting reports from witnesses about whether Dunbar was armed with a gun or not, while police said Baker ordered a 3rd man, who was wearing a red mask, to shoot someone at the party. The third man, however, never fired a shot.

New York Giants cornerback Baker is facing four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. As for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Dunbar, he is wanted on four counts of armed robbery with a firearm.
