Rebecca Crews reveals that her 'America's Got Talent' host husband told her it felt like his insides were melting upon learning about her stage 1 breast cancer diagnosis.

AceShowbiz - Terry Crews' wife is recovering from a major surgery amid the coronavirus pandemic. A few weeks after being diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer, Rebecca Crews made the decision to go under the knife for a double mastectomy, and she is now on the mend.

Talking to PEOPLE about her health scare, the 54-year-old beauty admitted that even though she was still on Stage 1, she was "overwhelmed with fear, like cancer is this all-consuming, all-powerful evil entity." It was why she decided to take precaution by undergoing the procedure to remove both of her breasts on March 3.

On her recovery in the midst of the pandemic, Rebecca admitted that it has been a challenge since she can't differentiate between her post-mastectomy pain and symptoms of COVID-19. "I've been so nervous, too, because a couple times I've woken up in the middle of the night with trouble breathing and thought, 'Oh no,' " she shared.

Nevertheless, Rebecca was grateful that Terry has stepped up to take good care of her as she recovers in their Pasadena home. "I have to give him his props because he’s been cooking for me, helping me bathe, and just really stepping up," she revealed. "I tease him all the time, I'm like, 'Did I have to get cancer to be treated like this?!' "

Speaking about her cancer scare itself, Rebecca admitted that she knew she would be alright right after getting her biopsy results. "After the call I had this clear vision of myself stepping through a door, and on the other side of this door, the sun was shining brightly and I was very happy," she recounted. "I just had this sense that I was going to be okay."

Yet, the same could not be said of Terry. "My husband has watched me go through a lot, but the look on his face," she spilled, "he looked at me like I was going to die. He told me it felt like his insides were melting. I said, 'I need you to be strong for me,' and he said, 'Okay' and hugged me, but I think he needed that hug."

As for what she has been doing to spend her time in self-isolation, the wife of the "America's Got Talent" host noted that she was "doing a little soul searching and asking myself what's important to me." She added, "But other than that … my life is in a good balance, and I have so many happy, exciting things to focus on."
