Ali Wentworth Describes Her Coronavirus Symptoms as 'Pure Misery'

Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon and Amy Schumer are quick to send their love and support to the wife of news anchor George Stephanopoulos following her positive diagnosis announcement.

AceShowbiz - Actress Ali Wentworth has tested positive for coronavirus, and told fans she's "never been sicker".

The 55-year-old screen star, most famous for her roles in "Jerry Maguire" and "It's Complicated", revealed the news on her Instagram page on Wednesday, April 01.

"I have tested positive for the Corona Virus (sic). I've never been sicker. High fever. Horrific body aches. Heavy chest. I'm quarantined from my family. This is pure misery," she wrote alongside a picture of herself looking sad while laying in her bed.

She quickly received messages from celebrity well-wishers including Sarah Jessica Parker, who wrote: "No. Oh Ali, I'm so, so sorry. So sorry. I'm sure you are in good hands but sending love."

Reese Witherspoon commented, "Oh Ali !! I'm so so sorry. Please rest and feel better. Sending you all my love xxx", while Amy Schumer wrote, "This ain't right."

Ali's Instagram post came after her husband, ABC news anchor George Stephanopoulos, revealed on "Good Morning America" that he would be broadcasting from home, after his other half began showing symptoms.

"Ali has developed some symptoms so she's upstairs resting right now," he said, although he didn't go as far as confirming she had the virus. "While she's recovering as she goes through this, I'm going to be broadcasting from home and we'll be working as long as we can."

Ali and George share two daughters together, Elliott, 17, and Harper, 14.
