The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star is mourning the death row inmate as others voice their disappointment in the criminal justice system that has failed the Alabama man.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian's attempt to use her voice to save another death-row inmate didn't end up with the result that she expected. The 39-year-old aspiring lawyer has reacted after Nathaniel Woods was executed on Thursday, March 5 just after 9 P.M. CT despite last-minute efforts to save his life.

Upon hearing the news, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star took to her Twitter account to mourn the death of the Alabama man. "RIP Nathaniel Woods," she simply wrote, adding a bird emoji.

Hours before the execution, the wife of Kanye West expressed her disappointment at the Supreme Court's decision to lift the temporary stay of execution for Nate. "The court has lifted the temporary stay of execution for #NathanielWoods. The governor will NOT save his life," she wrote. "My heart and prayers are with Nate and his family. This is a tragic example of injustice in the system- in a few minutes Nate may die for a crime he did not commit."

She followed it up in another post, "Nate will die for a crime another man confessed to and says Nate had nothing to do with. My heart and prayers are with Nate and his family and all the advocates who worked tirelessly to save his life."

Nate was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death in 2005 for the June 17, 2004 murder of Birmingham police officers Carlos Owen, Harley Chisolm and Charles Bennett. Nate was believed to have come up with the idea to ambush the officers when police attempted to serve him and his roommate Kerry Spencer, who were dealing crack cocaine at their home, with an arrest warrant.

Kerry, who was also put on death row for the murders, admitted he pulled the trigger and denied Nate was involved. He urged officials to halt Nate's execution. Nate's family and lawyer had insisted that he didn't deserve the harsh sentence.

Days prior to the execution, public voiced their support for Nate, calling for a stay of execution. Martin Luther King III, the son of Martin Luther King Jr., was among those who paid attention to the issue, writing that the 42-year-old's execution would only show that "Alabama has not learned from the past and that they have not learned from the civil rights movement of the 1960s that focused on justice and a respect for human rights."

T.I. took to his Instagram account to urge people to make last-minute effort to save Nate. "We have until 5pm to #SaveNate ladies and gentlemen. Go to SaveNate.com to add your voice and send a letter to the Governor of Alabama Kay Ivey to urge & convince her to spare Nates life," he wrote.

He later reacted to Nate's death, re-posting a message by another Twitter user with a caption that read, "I'm LIVD!! Hoping for peace & purpose.... We sorry Nate. You definitely deserved better."
