The former 'Fuller House' star and and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli are facing a maximum of 50 years behind jail each and millions of dollars in fines if found guilty.

AceShowbiz - Lori Loughlin and her husband will stand trial in their college admissions case in October.

Despite an attempt by their lawyers to postpone the proceedings until 2021, due to newly-acquired evidence, the former "Fuller House" star and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli will face justice in court from 5 October, U.S. District Judge Nathaniel Gorton in Boston, Massachusetts has ruled.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin on September 28.

The actress and her husband have maintained they are innocent of charges they were part of a scheme to bribe college admissions officials to secure university spots for their kids.

The pair was not present in court on Thursday (February 27) as Judge Gorton scheduled the trial date.

Loughlin and Giannulli are facing a maximum of 50 years behind jail each and millions of dollars in fines if found guilty.

The couple's lawyers at Latham & Watkins have accused prosecutors of suppressing evidence they feel could be "exonerating" for their clients. Attorney Sean Berkowitz filed paperwork on Wednesday, claiming notes obtained by federal agents prove his clients believed the $500,000 (£388,000) they handed over to Key Worldwide Foundation boss William Singer to help them secure top college spots for their daughters were "legitimate donations" for university programmes.
