The shootout that went down the road of the former 'Chappelle's Show' host's rural Ohio house on Wednesday, February 12 left two people dead, authorities have confirmed.

AceShowbiz - Dave Chappelle was not involved in a fatal shooting in Ohio on Wednesday, February 12 despite swirling rumors. A representative for the star has debunked that the incident happened at his property, after people spread the news on social media.

"hearing report of fatal shooting at DAVE CHAPPELLE (the comidiens [sic]) house! #davechappelle #sayitaintso," one person tweeted. Another even notified a TV network about the incident with a false detail, "@ABC there was a fatal shooting at Dave Chappelle home in Yellow Springs Ohio."

But Dave's rep Carla Sims has quickly debunked the story, telling The Post, "It did not happen at Dave's home," adding, "He's fine." The 45-year-old star was not even home when the incident happened. His rep says he's currently in London as part of his comedy tour. The Greene County Sheriff's office has also confirmed that the comedian wasn't connected to the shooting.

The shooting took place at 11 A.M. on a driveway outside a property on Grinnell Road in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Dave owns a property nearby, where he resides with his family on 39 acres of farmland.

Ohio authorities confirmed two people were killed in the shooting, but have not released the victims' names. It is believed that the homeowners had pulled up to their driveway before they were confronted by the suspected gunman. According to WDTN, the male homeowner and the suspect began exchanging gunfire when a woman, reportedly the ex-wife of the homeowner, pulled up and began shooting as well. When police arrived, they found a woman and man dead in the driveway.

"People shoot guns in the Glenn all the time, but it's past hunting season," one resident in the neighborhood tells local outlet WHIO-TV. "It was clear there was some kind of personal conflict." The neighbor adds, "I would not expect us to have a shootout on Grinnell Road in the middle of a cornfield in Yellow Springs."

An investigation is ongoing with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation being requested to assist.
