Claiming that his estranged brother Noel has been begging him to restart their band, the 'Wall of Glass' rocker announces that he will retire as solo artist after album number 3.

AceShowbiz - Liam Gallagher plans to reform Oasis in two years after claiming his estranged brother Noel Gallagher is "begging" for a reunion.

The Britpop icons split up in acrimony in 2009 after a backstage fight at a gig in Paris, France, and the Gallagher siblings have been trading barbs for a decade - with relations worsening in recent years due to Liam's outspoken comments on Twitter.

However, the "Wall of Glass" rocker shocked fans on Wednesday (January 08), by announcing he's planning one more album as a solo artist before returning to Oasis and then claimed Noel had called him to discuss a reunion.

"I intend to retire as solo artist after album no3 as I have just had a call from my brother begging me to start oasis again in 2022 if you believe in life after love c'mon you know LG x," he tweeted.

The post came shortly after Liam, 47, joked about needing to "spilt up with myself" after his third album, adding, "I just don't think I'll be able to work with myself any longer, I can write what I like and so can he but I think it's for the best."

Fans of the rocker are sceptical, however, as Noel has repeatedly claimed a reunion is out of the question.

As recently as November (19), the elder Gallagher told Britain's Big Issue magazine, "Every tweet he sends out its another nail in the coffin of that idea."

Addressing his brother directly, the "Holy Mountain" hitmaker added, "If you think for one minute I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are f**king more of a moron than you look."
