A spokesperson for Miami police has issued a statement denying that the 'Suge' rapper is arrested after a video shows him being taken away in handcuffs by officers.

AceShowbiz - DaBaby has another encounter with authorities less than a month after his last detainment. Video surfaced on Thursday afternoon, January 2, showing the rapper being taken away in handcuffs by police officers in Miami. Shortly after the video went viral, a spokesperson for Miami police has issued a statement explaining what really happened to him.

In the statement, the spokesperson confirmed that the "Suge" rapper wasn't arrested. In fact, he "has been detained and taken to headquarters for questioning reference an earlier incident involving a robbery." However, because the investigation is still on going, it has yet to be confirmed whether or not DaBaby is involved in the case.

Updates regarding his detainment will be provided by Miami police in an email on Friday morning at 8 A.M. EST.

This marks the second time DaBaby encountered law enforcement within two weeks. Last week, he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, resisting and obstruction after his concert in Charlotte, N.C. He was issued two citations before he was let go.

Following the incident, he took to Instagram Stories to call out police for always targeting him. "Dirty a** police department try to take me to jail every time I got a show in the city," he complained. He then turned to Twitter to say that the local police department was paying him unnecessary attention.

"Someone died last night while the police department wasting resources and officers to harass me in attempt to make a bad example out of me," he wrote on the micro-blogging site at the time. "When in reality, I'm the most positive example the city of Charlotte got. Especially for anybody in the streets of Charlotte and the KIDS."

Meanwhile, his arrest had prompted the police to launch an Internal Affairs investigation "to determine if Officers followed department polices and directives during the incident." It's unclear if the related officers would be placed on leave.
