The leading lady of 'Vera Drake' has been speculated to tackle the portrayal of the British royal from her mid-60s in the fifth and sixth seasons of the Netflix hit series.

AceShowbiz - Imelda Staunton will replace Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II on "The Crown", according to multiple reports.

Season three of the royal drama has just debuted on streaming site Netflix, but bosses at the network have allegedly already lined up the "Downton Abbey" star for seasons five and six.

Colman is making her debut as The Queen on "The Crown" after taking over from Claire Foy, who portrayed Elizabeth II on the first two seasons.

Imelda will portray the British royal from her mid-60s, according to the chatter.

Ironically, the actress played The Queen's mother on BBC drama series "Cambridge Spies".
