In addition to working on her debut novel, the wannabe novelist has had a busy 2019 as she reunited with her former Spice Girls bandmates for a U.K. tour.

AceShowbiz - Geri Halliwell is working on her debut novel as she would rather be remembered as a writer than a Spice Girls.

The "2 Become 1" hitmaker made her first move into writing back in 2008 when she released the first of the Ugenia Lavender children's books.

However, she is now determined to build a career as a serious novelist and has been working on her literary debut for four years.

"I'm in the middle of finishing my novel," she tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper. "It's been like climbing Everest. It's taken me four years and I'm coming to the end of it now. I want to be remembered as a writer. I've done children's literature before, but it was short. This is an actual novel."

The wannabe novelist has had a busy 2019, reuniting with her former Spice Girls bandmates for a U.K. tour. Despite its success, the band are yet to announce plans to extend their trek outside of their homeland.
