Should the rumors be true, the 'Spirit' singer will be the fourth black woman to host the annual event after Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah and Whoopi Goldberg.

AceShowbiz - Has the Recording Academy found the host for the upcoming 62nd Grammy Awards? That's what people have been speculating about ever since Beyonce Knowles' name popped out as the host for the annual ceremony.

The rumors sparked after some people tried googling "The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards Host" and got Beyonce as the result. This immediately caused social media frenzy, with many expressing their excitement should the rumors are true. One even pointed out that the possibility is high since last year, Alicia Keys' name popped up on the browsing site as the host for the 2019 Grammys even before the announcement was made.

"If Beyonce hosts the Grammys next year, it's no longer the Grammy's...it's the YONCE'S," one tweeted. There were also some who quipped that the former Destiny's Child member is supposed to "host the grammy's, present her award and win it at the same time?! Can we say iconic." Fans of BTS a.k.a. Bangtan Boys, meanwhile, joked that Jimin would finally meet his "mother" because many people thought that the South Korean star looks like Beyonce a lot.

Nothing has been confirmed as of now. Should the rumors be true, Beyonce will be the fourth black woman to host the ceremony, following Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah and Whoopi Goldberg.

The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards is scheduled to take place on January 26, 2020 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Multiple changes are being made for the upcoming ceremony, including the fact that the Recording Academy will now accept links to streaming services as opposed to physical copies as submissions.

There will also be separate screening committees for Pop and Rock, which were previously handled by a Core Committee. Because of this, the Core Committee is now able to focus on the more difficult decisions such as determining who is eligible for the Best New Artist category.
