AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj has finally broken her social media silence after making her fans worried for these past weeks. As if that wasn't enough good news for her devotees, the Young Money femcee seemingly teased a possible new music when she took to Twitter on Wednesday, June 12.
"MEGATRON," she simply posted on the micro-blogging site, leading fans to decode the meaning behind the tweet. One suggested that Nicki was teasing a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion and Trina, while another suspected that Megatron is the title of her upcoming album and that it would be released on September 3. There was also someone who took it too literally and believed that she would be voicing Megatron in the next installment of "Transformers" franchise.
However, should the tweet is really about an upcoming collaboration project, it looks like Nicki won't be joining forces with either Megan or Trina. This is because CupcakKe reacted to the tweet by saying, "Dropping this Friday." Reading the post, fans immediately went into frenzy as they thought that Nicki is teaming up with the rising rapper. "PLEASE DON'T BE LYING!!" one begged as another was still in disbelief, "QUEENS COLLABORATING?!?!?!"
This arrives amid rumors of Nicki dropping out of her joint tour with Chris Brown after the latter left her name out of the tour dates announcement. Instead, he included the likes of Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign, Joyner Lucas and Yella Beezy.
TMZ has now reported that Nicki purposely chose not to join the "Loyal" hitmaker on the road so that she could focus on making music. The site further noted that going on a tour this summer would interfere with her studio time. Not to mention, she just wrapped her European tour and embarking on a tour again would be quite exhausting.
It is said that there's no bad blood between Nicki and Chris despite her decision.
