Recalling the moment in an interview, the VH1 personality says that her baby died shortly after birth as doctors told her that she had no chance of surviving outside the womb at 20 weeks.

AceShowbiz - Rah Ali has confirmed reports which stated that her newborn daughter, whom she named Sanaa, passed away shortly after being born prematurely. Speaking to PEOPLE, the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star recalled the time when she was forced to give birth at just five months pregnant.

Revealing that the incident happened on May 26, Rah told the publication that she started having stomach cramps in the morning. She didn't think too much about it at first, assuming that it was merely pregnancy side effect. But when the pain didn't go away, she called her husband and was immediately taken to the hospital. "That's when they told me that my cervix was completely open and that my water had broken," the VH1 star said.

"When you're pregnant with your first child, it's a whole mental thing just knowing that you're going to deliver," Rah added. "Every day you count down and see [your due date] getting closer and closer. At five months, I hadn't even come to the realization that it was going to happen. It was the worst experience of my life."

Continuing her story, Rah said that her baby died shortly after birth as doctors told Rah that she had no chance of surviving outside the womb at 20 weeks. "I held her … and she slept in the room with us until the morning when they took her away. I felt like I lost my soul," she recalled.

Fortunately, Rah has the support of both friends and family. Her best friend, Nicki Minaj, allegedly was doing everything she could to be supportive, including checking on Rah and trying to lift up her spirit. As for Rah's former friend Remy Ma, she said that she had not received any messages from her.

"I actually haven't heard from her but I don't have any expectations, nor do I think she is in any way expected to reach out to me during this time," Rah said of the "All the Way Up" rapper. "It would be ridiculous to even think that. That's a buried relationship. I truly mean that respectfully."
