In the premiere episode of his reality competition show, the 'All of Me' hitmaker tells Miami, Florida-based songwriter Tebby Burrows that his 'We Need Love' song 'really gave me chills.'

AceShowbiz - John Legend has wasted no time releasing his new track composed by a wannabe songwriter on his TV talent show.

"We Need Love", penned by Tebby Burrows, was released following the premiere of "Songland" on Tuesday night (May 28).

The U.S. reality competition show gives aspiring songwriters the opportunity to pen hits for stars like Legend, the Jonas Brothers, Charlie Puth, Macklemore, and Meghan Trainor.

Miami, Florida-based songwriter Burrows won the first episode of the show and judge Legend picked up the song and headed straight into the studio.

"The verses feel really nice now," Legend said after hearing a reworked version of the track. "It's super conversational... It really gave me chills."
