Weeks after a probate court investigator was ordered to look into the 'Toxic' hitmaker's conservatorship, Jamie Spears files a request to be in charge of her affairs in three states.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' father is asking a judge to extend the star's conservatorship outside the state of California.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Jamie Spears filed a notice on Tuesday, May 22, requesting control of his daughter's affairs in Florida, Hawaii, and her native Louisiana.

The filing does not include the reason for the extension. The court submission is the latest development in an ongoing battle between Spears and her father, who is attempting to stay in control over her financial assets.

Britney was in the legal care of Jamie and court-appointed attorney Andrew Wallet from 2008 until March, when the lawyer stepped down, leaving Jamie as the star's sole conservator.

Earlier this year, the "Toxic" hitmaker cancelled all planned dates for her "Britney: Domination" residency show in Las Vegas after her father underwent life-threatening surgery. She subsequently checked herself into a mental health facility last month, following reports claiming she was suffering from "emotional distress".

According to The Blast, the judge presiding over the case has appointed a probate court investigator to look into the conservatorship and produce a full report before a further hearing takes place in September.

Earlier this month, Britney's mother, Lynn, demanded more access to her daughter's medical records as part of a new conservatorship arrangement.
