Aaron Sorkin's 'To Kill a Mockingbird' Wins Best Play at Audience Choice Awards

The 20th annual Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards, which presentation will be done on May 30, also sees 'Be More Chill' dominating the winners' list with four prizes.

AceShowbiz - Aaron Sorkin's "To Kill a Mockingbird" has been named best play at Broadway.com's Audience Choice Awards.

The Harper Lee drama was shut out of the Tony Awards nominations, but the play was the number one pick for fans.

"Be More Chill" tops the winners list at the 20th annual prizegiving, according to Deadline, with four awards, including prizes for Favorite New Musical and Favorite Featured Actor in a Musical (George Salazar), while "Pretty Woman - The Musical" picked up three.

Other big prizes have gone to "Oklahoma!" for Best Musical Revival, "The Boys in the Band" for Favorite Play Revival, and "Wait For Me" from "Hadestown", which was named Favorite New Song.

The awards will be presented on 30 May.
