Keya Morgan has been accused of mishandling the comic book icon's money and causing severe physical and emotional injuries to him back in 2018, months before his death.

AceShowbiz - Comic book icon Stan Lee's former business partner has been charged with elder abuse.

Keya Morgan was charged with five separate counts of elder abuse in Los Angeles on Friday, May 10 - all linked to an incident from June (2018), five months before Marvel kingpin Lee's death.

Lee's lawyers filed documents requesting a restraining order against Morgan, claiming he mishandled millions of Stan's money and suggesting their client had suffered severe physical and emotional injuries because of Morgan.

The order was eventually granted by a judge.

At the time, Morgan told TMZ, "For over 10 years I have shown nothing but love, respect and kindness to Stan Lee and his wife, a fact he has repeated countless times.

"This is a witchhunt by his daughter and her lawyer against me because she cannot stand the fact Stan likes me so much. I will 100% prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the allegations against me are false. The truth will come out."

Stan died in November, aged 95.
