The former 'Teen Mom 2' star also reveals that she and husband David Eason are in 'a healing process' and planning to seek 'marriage counseling' after he shot and killed her dog Nugget.

AceShowbiz - Jenelle Evans is having a rough time during the Mother's Day this year after controversy surrounding her husband David Eason, who shot and killed Jenelle's family dog Nugget. Not only she was fired from "Teen Mom 2", her sons were also removed from her North Carolina home.

Jenelle's two oldest children, Jace (9) and Kaiser (4), were reportedly taken by Child Protective Services. Kaiser was taken away from the house on May 10 after Nathan Griffith, Jenelle's ex-fiance and Kaiser's father, called the authorities on April 30. "I guess there was a dispute with my ex-fiancee and her husband and he shot a dog. And there's been multiple 911 calls of abuse," Nathan told police.

He added, "And I'm just trying to figure out where my son’s at and what I should do in this situation right now. I'm just so confused right now. … I just want to make sure my son is safe."

Jenelle confirmed the report, sharing in a statement obtained by PEOPLE on Monday, "During this difficult time, I'm focused on getting Kaiser back and cooperating with my legal team on the next steps to getting my children back."

The 27-year-old star also detailed to Us Weekly, "Kaiser was taken away Friday without my consent, before Mother's Day, and I have been in touch with my lawyer pertaining this matter."

"Kaiser was taken from his daycare by his grandmother [Nathan Griffith's mother, Doris] with no notice or call to me," the reality star continued. "CPS told Doris to take Kaiser without my consent and still have no legal paperwork signed by the judge stating my kids are taken from me."

Jenelle further said that she and Nathan "have talked briefly regarding this situation" and they're set to "appear in court later this month." She went on saying, "My legal team has been on this since it [occurred]. I've been fighting to get my son back, as they went behind my back and removed him without my consent."

Prior to this, it was reported Jace, whom Jenelle shares with ex Andrew Lewis, is currently with Jenelle's mom Barbara. The boy was banned to visit his mom's home following the dog-killing incident.

As for her relationship with David, Jenelle said they were "still in a healing process." She explained, "We are going to start going to marriage counseling because he feels as if we both need it. I completely agree. Not considering divorce unless he refuses counseling with me."

She also asked people not to easily believe in rumors which have been going on internet. "Any rumors that come out, I would like for everyone to just step back and think, 'Is this from Jenelle? No, it's not true,' " she urged. "I'm very open with the public and my life and will continue to be. Right now, I need this time to just hang out with my family. I need them so bad right now."
