Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty, who has appeared on the DJ/producer's single 'Here With Me', share with fans how they really feel about his latest release, 'Light It Up'.

AceShowbiz - The members of acclaimed Scottish band Chvrches have taken aim at DJ/producer Marshmello for working with Chris Brown and Tyga.

Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty took to social media on Thursday, April 25, to let their former collaborator know exactly how they felt about his latest release, "Light It Up".

"We are really upset, confused and disappointed by Marshmello's choice to work with Tyga and Chris Brown," a statement from the trio reads. "We like and respect Mello as a person but working with people who are predators and abusers enables, excuses and ultimately tacitly endorses that behaviour. That is not something we can or will stand behind."

The pop group appeared on Marshmello's single "Here With Me" and joined the DJ for his recent set at the Coachella festival.

Marshmello dropped the music video for his new party anthem, featuring Brown and Tyga, on Thursday morning.

Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009 following a Grammys party, while rapper Tyga settled a sexual assault lawsuit against him following a 2011 video shoot.
