The Oscar-nominated actress, who has worked together with the director in 'The Paper' back in 1994, will star opposite 'Vice' actress Amy Adams in the Netflix adaptation film.

AceShowbiz - Glenn Close is reuniting with director Ron Howard for his upcoming film adaptation of "Hillbilly Elegy".

Amy Adams recently signed up for the Netflix project, and now Close has joined the cast, too.

The movie will be based on the bestselling 2016 memoir by J.D. Vance, about a law student who is forced to return to his hometown.

"The Shape of Water" co-writer Vanessa Taylor is adapting the screenplay, which will detail the stories of three generations of his Appalachian family.

Close, who previously worked with Howard on 1994 comedy drama "The Paper", will portray the grandmother of the clan, reports Variety.
