Anna Pasternak blasts the Duchess of Sussex, whose lavish lifestyle is deemed 'inappropriate' after she enters British royal family.

AceShowbiz - It's been almost a year since Meghan Markle became a member of British royal family. While many have praised the former "Suits" actress for being able to adjust her life following her May 2018 wedding, some others point out that it seems like the pregnant Duchess of Sussex hasn't fully given up to her old lifestyle.

Royal expert Anna Pasternak slammed Meghan for allegedly trying to be an "international star." The author of "The Real Wallis Simpson" said on "The Royal Box", "I think what Meghan has got to realize is that she cannot live life in the royal family like an A-list Hollywood star and that within the monarchy it demands a very different set of behaviors."

Anna went on saying, "She doesn't understand that she cannot be this international star on this global stage." She added, "That is the Queen, then Charles, then William and Kate -- they have to be the stars that's what ensures continuity in the monarchy."

The author set Meghan's baby shower, which was attended by the likes of Serena Williams, Gayle King and Amal Clooney, in New York last month as the prime example. It was revealed that The Mark, where the bash was held at, cost thousands per night. Additionally, Meghan was said to be flying to and from the U.S. in a private jet.

"The country is in a state of extreme anxiety and flux, and many people are suffering financially," she shared. "You can't have it both ways, I think you cannot on the one hand, say to the people, 'save the planet,' and then be revving up a massive carbon footprint going for a lavish baby shower in New York, I don't think it looks good and I don't think it's appropriate."

"The house of Windsor has done incredibly well to stay together when many other European royal houses have collapsed, and they've done it because they recognize who has to be the main event," the author continued saying. "She seems to want to bring her own style into the monarchy and I don't think that's appropriate and I don't think it's going to work long term."
