The possible collaboration aside, fans have also started speculating that the former Disney darling will return to her 'Bangerz' era.

AceShowbiz - Is Miley Cyrus gearing up for a collaborative track with Drake? That's what fans have been speculating ever since the former Disney darling took to Instagram on Friday, March 22 to treat her followers to a highly stylized photo of herself.

The picture in question showed Miley wearing a Dior swimsuit complete with several jewelries as she casually poured water on herself while she was in a pool. While the picture was undoubtedly gorgeous, it was her caption that got people buzzing. "Drenching myself in @champagnepapi [Drake's Instagram account] tears," she wrote.

Fans immediately took to the comment section to express their excitement over the possible collaboration. "Drake Collab," one comment simply read, as another admitted s/he was "dying right now imagine drake x mc." Someone else excitedly asked, "Are we getting a collab???" Meanwhile, one individual already speculated that the possible joint track would be "song of the summer."

Fueling the speculation, Drake has been caught following the singer on social media after she tagged him in the post.

Her collaboration with the Canadian superstar aside, fans have also been speculating that the "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" singer would return to her "Bangerz" era judging by her recent Instagram posts. Many couldn't help but think that her photos reminded them of the era. "I have a theory Miley's next album will be similar to Bangerz will all these references in her photos. I'm so excited!!" one said. "Bangerz pt.2??? I love wild Miley," one other noted.

Nothing has been confirmed as of now.

As fans are waiting for a new release from Miley, the "Malibu" singer is set to perform at several festivals this year. Most recently, she was confirmed to headline the first day of Woodstock 50 festival along with The Killers, Anderson East and Akon.
