Emily Blunt has reportedly sealed the deal to return for the sequel, while Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe are in talks to reprise their roles.

AceShowbiz - "A Quiet Place 2" is quietly moving on with more talents from the first movie being attached to sequel. After John Krasinski confirmed that he has been writing the script for the second installment, it is now reported that he is set to return as director.
The former "The Office" star teased his involvement in the sequel as he shared a cryptic post on Instagram on Friday, February 22. He wrote along with the photo, "...time to go back. #PartII 5-15-20." The numbers in the caption are the release date of the sequel, May 15, 2020.
Meanwhile, Krasinski's wife Emily Blunt and kid stars Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, who play the couple's on-screen children, are reportedly in talks to reprise their roles in the second movie. While some sites indicate that Blunt hasn't signed on yet, Deadline claims that her deal for the sequel is closed.
Released in April 2018, "A Quiet Place" which is based on an original story by Krasinski, Bryan Woods and Scott Beck was a sleeper hit. The post-apocalyptic horror thriller debuted to $50.2 million on its opening, and grossed a total of $188 million stateside. It went on to make $340 million worldwide against a modest budget of $17 million.
Details of the plotline for the sequel are still kept under wraps. Krasinski previously teased the script he's been working on in 2018. "I had this small idea for a sequel, but I didn't think it would go anywhere. So, I said to the studio, 'Just go do the movie with somebody else.' They heard some pitches, and I told Drew [Form, producer] about this little idea, and he told me to think about it a little longer. And then I thought, 'This might really work.' So, I'm currently writing the sequel," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
