Talking to reporters outside the courthouse, the Bravo personality says of her divorce, 'The sooner I get rid of him and out of my life completely, the better.'

AceShowbiz - Danielle Staub and Marty Caffrey can now breathe a sigh of relief now that their divorce has been finalized, six months after the latter filed the documents. The exes finalized their divorce on Thursday, February 21, both appearing before a judge in a Bergen County court. It's said that the hearing lasted for less than an hour.

Talking to reporters after leaving the courthouse, Staub didn't hide the fact that she was so happy to end their 9-month marriage. "I'm elated," she said. "The sooner I get rid of him and out of my life completely, the better." She even proudly showed the final documents to TMZ and gleefully flipped the bird.

Staub additionally said that she would likely buy their $2M marital home. As stated in their agreement, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star has to purchase the home along with its furniture if she wants to stay there. If not, she will have to move out by April.

Her spokesperson also issued a statement explaining that the reality TV star is relieved to have ended her marriage for good. "Danielle is very much looking forward to moving on to the next chapter of her life and is excited to see what that will look like," Steve Honig stated. "She is incredibly grateful for all the support she has received from her children, family and friends."

As for Caffrey, he admitted in his statement that he felt bittersweet about their finalized divorce, but he would be still looking forward to move on. He additionally believed that having their relationship exposed to public might have been the reason for the "destruction in our relationship."

"I would caution any man who contemplates getting involved with a 'real housewife' as I think it takes a special kind of person to expose their private lives in this way and not have it not cause problems," he said. "However, I have no regrets about supporting Danielle, and vigorously defending her throughout the last two season of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'. I bear her no ill will, and I wish her the best in everything she does."

Staub and Caffrey got married in May 2018 after one year of engagement. They announced their split in August of that year.
