Anne's character believes that women are better con artists than men because 'no man will ever believe a woman is smarter than he is.'

AceShowbiz - "The Hustle" has unearthed its first trailer for viewing pleasure. The video from female-centric remake of the Steve Martin and Michael Caine-starring 1988 classic "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" features Anne Hathaway's and Rebel Wilson's characters joining forces in their sneaky plans as cunning con artist.

The footage opens with Rebel's character successfully make a man, who sits in front of her inside the train, pay for her meals by posing as a grieving sister seeking her missing sibling. "I'm here to find my sister. She's been taken by men who sell hot white virgins to kajillionaires on yachts," she tells the man, who buys the lie.

Anne's character, who sits a few seats behind her, observes the scene and is impressed by her. She approaches Rebel and offers to work together so that Rebel can up her game with the help of Anne's high-class polish.

Anne believes that women are better con artists than men because "no man will ever believe a woman is smarter than he is." Later, the trailer sees Anne taking Rebel under her wings as she teaches Rebel her "sugar baby ways."

"First lesson, there is nothing more compelling to a man than a vulnerable woman," she says, before faking a cry on a command. The training also includes knife skills and other physical trainings. After Rebel is deemed ready, they go into their mission with a tech millionaire as the target.

Chris Addison ("The Thick of It") directs the comedy movie, which follows "Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson star as female scam artists, one low on rent and the other high class, who team up to take down the dirty rotten men who have wronged them." The movie also stars Alex Sharp, Timothy Blake Nelson, Ingrid Oliver and Emma Davies. Coming from MGM and Orion, "The Hustle" is produced by Roger Birnbaum and Rebel.

"The Hustle" is set to open nationwide on May 10.
