'Some brothers believe Landry may have been saved, but I am not one of them,' Hamill's Talus declares in the new footage.

AceShowbiz - History has unearthed first trailer for upcoming season 2 of "Knightfall" featuring Mark Hamill and Tom Cullen. In the action-packed footage, fans are offered a better look at Hamill's battle-hardened warrior character, Talus.

Clocking at more than 2 minutes, the trailer sees Cullen's Landry following his banishment from the Templars for his dalliance with the queen. However, the new video hints that he’s welcomed back into the fold, albeit as an initiate with the order.

"Some brothers believe Landry may have been saved, but I am not one of them," Talus declares before a scene of him punching Landy flickers on the screen. "The worth of a man is proven in the theater of war," Talus says in a voiceover.

According to official synopsis, in its sophomore season, "Knightfall will go inside the medieval politics and warfare of the Knights Templar, the most powerful, wealthy and mysterious military order of the Middle Ages. "The series goes deep into the clandestine world of this legendary brotherhood of warrior monks to learn who these knights were, how they lived, and what they died believing," the synopsis continues.

"With the historical and ruthless downfall of the Templar Order on the horizon, season two focuses on themes such as power, redemption, revenge, betrayal, family, and ultimately an epic war between church and state," it concludes.

Hamill joins the second season to play a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran and initiate master who is tasked with preparing the next generation of men to proudly wear the iconic red cross on their chests and become "God's Executioners." Also starring in the new season are Tom Forbes and Genevieve Gaunt.

The show follows the fall, persecution, and burning at the stake of the Knights Templar, one of the most skilled fighting units of the Crusades, which was orchestrated by King Philip IV of France on October 13, 1307. It centers on fictional Templar leader Landry du Lauzon, a brave warrior discouraged by the Templars' failures in the Holy Land who is reinvigorated by news that the Holy Grail has resurfaced.

"Knightfall" returns for season 2 on March 25 on History.
