In addition to the gruesome deaths, the trailer gives a sneak peek at the romance on the upcoming series.

AceShowbiz - Freeform has unleashed the first full-length trailer for its new series "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists". The newly-released footage of the "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off offers fans a glimpse of what is happening in Beacon Heights, which seemingly grows even more dangerous than Rosewood.

Clocking at 1 minute and 42 seconds, the trailer opens with Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) seemingly stumbling upon the series' first murder. "Is it okay to murder a murderer?" someone asks in voiceover, before another person replies, "Murder can be justified."

The video then flashes some disturbing scenes in which some people are brutally murdered. At one point, someone is seen receiving a box with a dead rat inside. In addition to the gruesome deaths, the trailer gives a sneak peek at the romance on the upcoming series.

At the end of the trailer, it's revealed that the new series is set to premiere on Wednesday, March 20 on Freeform.

Set in seemingly perfect town Beacon Heights, "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists" revolves around a group of three college friends who struggle with the stress of being overachievers. In the aftermath of the town’s first murder, each Perfectionist hides behind a secret, a lie and an alibi.

The spin-off, which is based on "The Perfectionists" book series from PLL author Sara Shepard, will also see Janel Parrish reprising her role as Mona Vanderwaal. Mona is Hanna Marin's best friend who was unmasked as the mysterious tormentor "A" at the end of the sophomore season of "PLL" and beat uber-villain A.D. at her own game.

Also starring on "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists" are Sydney Park, Kelly Rutherford, Eli Brown and Sofia Carson. Alloy Entertainment and Long Lake Media in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television produce the series . PLL showrunner I. Marlene King writes the script and serves as executive producer alongside Charlie Craig, Lisa Cochran-Neilan, Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo with Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum directing the pilot.
