Nine months after parting ways with Jenna Dewan, the 'Magic Mike XXL' star submits court documents detailing what he has prepared and done to let five-year-old Everly to 'thrive.'

AceShowbiz - Channing Tatum has asked a judge to impose a custody schedule for his five-year-old daughter Everly in the wake of his split from wife Jenna Dewan.

The "Magic Mike XXL" star and "Step Up" actress Jenna called time on their marriage in October (2018), and both asked for joint custody of their little girl. Channing is now keen for a schedule to be introduced, to allow Everly to "thrive."

In a declaration as part of new court documents seen by The Blast, Channing wrote: "In my opinion and experience, Everly has appeared to adjust to our separation and living in two homes exceptionally well. I believe that she will thrive even more with structure and consistency because she is happy and more relaxed when she knows a plan."

As for a schedule, Channing is proposing that he takes Everly on Mondays and Tuesdays, Jenna has her on Wednesdays and Thursdays and then they alternate having her on the weekends.

In addition, the 38-year-old actor has requested that he and Jenna each have two weeks of exclusive time with Everly over her summer vacation from school, while her birthday is to be split in half so she gets to see them both - unless there is a joint party planned.

Separate plans are detailed for Christmas, with Channing suggesting that Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are split evenly - with him getting odd years and Jenna getting even. The same would happen with New Year's, with an opposite split.

Halloween also gets a special mention in the documents, as it appears to be a special day for the family. "The parties shall work together to try to spend Halloween together, trick or treating with Everly from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m," the papers read.

In his declaration, Channing goes into further detail about his life as a single father following his split from Jenna, revealing that he rented a house after the break-up and "decorated Everly's room very girly in a fairytale and fantasy theme (i.e. Alice and Wonderland), with pictures of Everly with both (Jenna) and me on trips."

"(I) put time and thought into making Everly's room, as well as an outdoor art space at the house, as comfortable as possible for her to facilitate the transitions," he continued.

As well as rearranging his work schedule to ensure that he can always spend time with Everly when he is able to, Channing detailed the games they play together - including tic-tac-toe and Candyland - and their favourite TV shows, such as "American Ninja Warrior".

Another touching detail revealed is that Channing often takes Everly to her Saturday ballet class, and it seems the child may follow in her parents' performing footsteps - as she has recently landed the part of Lisa in a production of "Mamma Mia!".
