Adding that 'we're going through a f***ed up time,' the Migos rapper dubs the government shutdown 'some slave s**t.'

AceShowbiz - Offset is the latest musician to get political amid the government shutdown. Following in his wife Cardi B's footstep, the Migos rapper shares his opinion on the matter which left thousands of furloughed Americans devastated.

"We're going through a f***ed up time," the 27-year-old rapper said to Esquire magazine for an interview which was published on Tuesday, January 22. "Both sides. Black and the white. You know why? The government shutdown. Black people aren't working, white folks aren't working. It's everybody."

The "MotorSport" spitter continued, "This ain't supposed to be going down. Not in America."

"We got our chest out, we got the money, we got the cars, we got the celebrities, we got the stars, everybody wants to be like us," he added. "All these other countries when I go there, they're inspired by us."

"Seeing people talk about how they can't pay their bills but they have to work. That's some slave s**t," Offset went on saying. "I don't really get into it politics because I'm usually on the other side of it. There's black mothers with jobs, and now you take their jobs away."

During the interview, the hip-hop star blasted President Donald Trump. "And then the president, I don't really want to speak on him but he's rich," he said. "Make a n***a respect you, because a n***a don't respect you. He's rich and has these folks struggling."

Prior to this, Cardi was engaged in war of words with conservative FOX Nation host and commentator Tomi Lahren, who accused the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker of saying things despite not knowing much. "I feel like we need to take some action. I don't know what type of action, b***h, 'cause this is not what I do, but bitch I'm scared,” she started. "This is crazy and I really feel bad for these people who need to go to f***ing work to not get motherf***ing paid," Cardi said.

Quoting the femcee's tweet, Tomi said, "Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA! Keep it up, guys!" In response, Cardi wrote, "Leave me alone or I will dog walk you."
