The comedian later takes to Twitter to give further details about the uproar which happens when she's dining at Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills.

AceShowbiz - Kathy Griffin is not a huge fan of CBS's ex-chairman Les Moonves. The former "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" star reportedly refused to be seated near the former CEO of the network and calling him "a rapist" while dining at Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, California.

The rumors first spread on Friday, January 11 when Variety's Ramin Setoodeh tweeted about the incident earlier in the day. He tagged Griffin on his tweet which read, "Wow. I just heard that @kathygriffin was at the Polo Lounge today when she saw that Les Moonves was near her. She loudly asked the waitress to move her, saying: 'I don't want to be seated next to a rapist.' "

Responding to Setoodeh's tweet, Griffin explained what happened in details. "I honestly couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him having the nerve to be sitting in such a high profile Hollywood restaurant," she tweeted. "All I could think of, what if one of his victims innocently walked in , only to have to face this monster? I said 'Leslie?' He said 'hi' U know the rest!"

The tweet quickly became the much-talked-about topic on the micro-blogging site. After Griffin confirmed the rumor and explained what happened, a person asked if Moonves was with someone in the restaurant. Responding to the fan, the 58-year-old stand-up comedian answered, "He was seated alone. I don't know who he was meeting or if he was meeting anyone."

In September 2018, Moonves stepped down from his position as CEO of CBS after he was accused of sexual misconduct. According to a report reviewed by Rachel Adams and Edmund Lee of New York Times, he "engaged in multiple acts of serious nonconsensual sexual misconduct in and outside of the workplace both before and after he came to CBS in 1995." It was reported that the network had denied him at least $120 million severance package because of the allegation.
