AceShowbiz - Singer Clydie King has died, aged 75.
The Texan, who Bob Dylan has called his "ultimate singing partner", provided backing vocals on hundreds of hits, including Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama".
She died on 7 January.
King began her career when she was a teenager in Los Angeles as the singer with Little Clydie & The Teens. She also enjoyed solo success and performed as one of of Ray Charles' The Raelettes.
But she really made her mark as a session singer, working on tracks by Venetta Fields, Elton John, Linda Ronstadt, and Steely Dan, among others.
And she became Dylan's singing "soulmate" in the 1980s, often duetting with him onstage.
Clydie also recorded the gospel-tinged "Saved" and "Shot of Love" with Dylan for his 2017 "Trouble No More Bootleg Series" box set.
