AceShowbiz - "Today" show has welcomed a new addition for its third hour. The NBC morning show has announced the replacement host for Megyn Kelly, less than three months after "Megyn Kelly Today" was canceled in October.

On Monday morning, January 7, Dylan Dreyer took to Twitter to break the news that she would be co-hosting every weekday morning at 9 A.M. She will be joined by Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones and Craig Melvin.

"Hope you don't mind these faces! You'll be seeing a lot of them at 9am," she wrote alongside a selfie of her and her new co-hosts. "Please join us! #3rdhourtoday #youvegotafriendinus #letthegoodtimesroll @TODAYshow @SheinelleJones @craigmelvin @alroker."

Al quoted Dylan's post and wrote, "I love these guys."

Following the announcement, people were quick to leave supportive messages under Dylan's post. "Love these faces every morning! You are always welcome in my home!" an excited fan tweeted. "Love these faces!! So happy for the 3rd hour!!" another fan added.

Another tweet also read, "I am totally good with those faces...love each of you! Hopefully Jenna will join Honda as the replacement for KLG! That would round out my morning TV in a great way!!"

NBC pulled the plug on Megyn Kelly's hour on "Today" following her controversial blackface comments in which she questioned why it was considered racist to do a blackface for Halloween. She received a huge backlash for it, prompting her to apologize in the next episode of her segment.

"I was wrong and I am sorry," shared shared in an on-air statement. "Sometimes I talk and sometimes I listen and yesterday, I learned. I learned that given the history of blackface being used in awful ways by racists in this country, it is not OK for that to be part of any costume, Halloween or otherwise."

Prior to this, it was rumored that NBC planned to have Kelly Clarkson as her replacement. The network's executives allegedly "think it might be perfect time to give her Today time slot to Kelly, who has a huge fan base and is extremely well-liked and relatable," claimed a source. "Kelly is the most non-biased person on the planet, and does not have an ounce of racism in her," another source said of "The Voice" coach.
