A Moroccan music producer previously sued the 'No Stylist' hitmaker, claiming that their hit track contains a modified version of his 2014 song 'Sleep85'.

AceShowbiz - Rapper French Montana has reportedly reached a settlement in a legal dispute over his song "Lockjaw".

Moroccan music producer Yo Asel sued the "No Stylist" hitmaker and his collaborators DJ Khaled, and Kodak Black in December, 2017, claiming he had originally sent Montana his 2014 song "Sleep85" via email in an effort to collaborate with him.

He didn't hear back from the hip-hop star, but when he eventually heard Lockjaw, which was used on the video game WWE 2K17, he claims he recognised the sound of his own work, and launched a lawsuit against Montana, Khaled, and Black, claiming their hit track contained a modified version of Sleep85's beat.

He was seeking unspecified damages and an injunction barring Montana from future profits from the tune, but now the two parties have reached a deal, in which they have agreed to drop the lawsuit and cover their own attorneys' fees, according to The Blast.
