The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star argues her fame and status as social media star give a solid reason why she doesn't need to infringe on the Danish make-up artist's logo.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian is asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit Danish make-up artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis filed against her.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star launched her KKW (Kim Kardashian West) Beauty line in June, 2017, and following her successful release, famous make-up artist Kirsten accused Kim of confusing consumers by using her initials in her logo - making it incredibly similar to the "KW" in her own line of make-up and cosmetics services.

In the suit, Kirsten accused the mother-of-three of a "knowing, willing and deliberate" infringement, claiming she intended to dupe her customers. She asked the court to block Kim from using KKW, award her profits, and make Kardashian pay damages.

Kim previously insisted she consulted several trademark attorneys before launching the collection and was confident she was not infringing on Weis' logo. And now the 38-year-old is asking a judge to dismiss the lawsuit completely, arguing she has no need to infringe on anyone's line, because she is a "world-famous television celebrity." She also insists there has not been any confusion caused in the market between the two lines.

"The absence of a shred of evidence showing real consumers suffering actual confusion is enormously telling and weighs heavily in favor of a finding that there exists no likelihood of confusion as a matter of law," Kardashian's response reads.

"Considering Kardashian's fame and access to over 100 million social media followers, no rational inference can be drawn that she would need or want to trick the public into associating her products with Kjaer Weis in order to gain exposure or traction," it continues.

A judge has yet to rule on her request, according to The Blast.
