The two-minute-and-forty-second music video also features new footage of 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'.

AceShowbiz - Post Malone and Swae Lee reunites to contribute a soundtrack to upcoming "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse". Titled "Sunflower", their collaboration was released on Thursday, October 18 along with its accompanying music video. It also serves as the lead single off the animated movie's soundtrack album.

The song kicks off with the Rae Sremmurd leader rapping about a girl that catches his eyes in his melody-driven flow. However, the girl seems to be trying much harder in the relationship. Malone then takes over from his collaborator and delivers lines about how the status of their relationship becomes unclear.

"I know I always come and go/ But it's out of my control," he raps. "And you'll be left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya/ You're the sunflower, I think your love would be too much/ Or you'll be left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya/ You're the sunflower, yeah."

The animated music video itself features the protagonist of the movie, Miles Morales, going through his daily life as a normal high-school kid and as a Spider-Man. Viewers are also treated to what appears to be an alternate version of Gwen Stacy who is actually a classmate of Miles in his universe. Meanwhile, in her own universe, Gwen acts as the Spider-Gwen.

The soundtrack album is said to cover a variety of genres and has been curated by Republic Records and Sony to represent "what a teen like [lead character Miles Morales] is listening to across the country." Additional artists have not been announced.

Starring Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld and Mahershala Ali among others, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" follows Miles Morales who must juggles his high school life with his status as Spider-Man. He is introduced to the "Spider-Verse" where there can be more than just one Spider-Man.

The movie is set for a December 14 release in the United States, the same day the soundtrack album will hit the stores.
