The 'Fahrenheit 11/9' director reveals in a recent interview that the 'Bridge of Spies' star has twice turned down his request for him to run for President in the next election.

AceShowbiz - Activist and filmmaker Michael Moore has twice asked Tom Hanks to run against Donald Trump in the race for the White House in 2020.

The "Fahrenheit 11/9" director insists "a beloved American" like Oscar winner Hanks is the Democrats' best chance to defeat the U.S. President at the next general election.

"Who doesn't like Tom Hanks?" Moore said during an appearance on "Good Morning Britain" on Tuesday, October 16. "Nobody, right? Tom Hanks would win!"

Unfortunately, "Forrest Gump" star Hanks has turned the request down twice, and has made it clear in the past he's not interested in a political career.
