AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle is seemingly ready to take a bigger step in her life as a royal. The Duchess of Sussex is set to host a celebratory event at Kensington Palace on Thursday, September 20 to mark the launch of "Together: Our Community Cookbook", a passion project from Meghan in order to help raise funds for a community kitchen run by women affected by Grenfell Tower tragedy.
It definitely means a lot for the young royal and a support from the beloved one would be appreciated. It looks like she will be getting a special guest as her mom Doria Ragland was spotted catching a flight from LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 15.
The yoga instructor was photographed dressed casually while an airline staff member helped with her luggage. People assumed that Doria was heading to London as the timing was perfect. In addition to the cookbook launch, Doria will celebrate her 62nd birthday this month so the daughter and mother duo may be planning to celebrate the birthday together.
For the cookbook, Meghan wrote the foreword. The book is hoped to help the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen prepare a meal based on their recipes before enjoying the feast with guests. Prince Harry will also attend Meghan's first hosting event as a royal.
The project was applauded by Meghan's close friends including Serena Williams. The tennis star took to her Instagram account to sing Meghan's praises. "I used to call you Meghan (and I still do) but dear Duchess of Sussex your first project 'Together' a cookbook bringing women of all cultures together. I could not be more excited about it and proud of you."
Serena added, "It's beautiful - diversity, inclusivity, coming together in grief or joy - there is just so much love. Link in bio to learn more, and how you can get a copy!"
Serena was not the only one praising Meghan for her involvement in the cookbook. Priyanka Chopra said that she's "so proud of you for this new endeavour Meghan." She continued saying in an Instagram post, "This is everything you always stood for. Women supporting women. Supporting communities. Bringing Togetherness. Here you do it again.. Keep making the world smile babe!"
