The 'Believe' hitmaker has unveiled plans to perform for fans once more on the 'Here We Go Again Tour' in the U.S.

AceShowbiz - Pop icon Cher is heading back out on a new U.S. tour, five years after her last trek was axed due to illness.

The "Believe" hitmaker has unveiled plans to perform for fans once more on the "Here We Go Again Tour", designed to promote her upcoming ABBA covers album, Dancing Queen.

The concert series, which was announced during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, September 7, borrows its name from her recent movie musical "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again", which was inspired by the tunes of the Swedish pop legends.

Cher's shows will launch in January 19 in Fort Myers, Florida, and run until May, when she will wrap up the gigs in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The singer/actress had previously been forced to cut short her Dressed to Kill Tour in 2014 after she was struck down with a viral infection. She initially planned to just postpone the affected dates, but ended up having to cancel them altogether as she struggled to bounce back from the ailment, leaving her "totally devastated".

Now 72, Cher insists she is in the best shape of her life.

Asked if she works out daily, she told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "Not every day but a lot of times".

The superstar went on to detail the exercises she performs regularly, admitting she has "a number of them" to ensure her butt looks good.

"I do fire hydrants... and I have a power plate, I do squats," she explained. "You just do old-fashioned things and I have to confess, I do (dance exercise) Zumba".

Cher will put her health to the test later this month, when she kicks off a series of concerts in Australia and New Zealand, after which she will return to Las Vegas for a number of residency shows.
