The 'Hips Don't Lie' star shares that she 'woke up this morning with a virus that has knocked me off my feet.'

AceShowbiz - Shakira cancelled her Wednesday night, August 29 concert in Los Angeles after coming down with a virus.

The singer rocked The Forum in Inglewood on Tuesday night, but was forced to scrap her second show at the venue.

The Hips Don't Lie star announced the news via Instagram hours before she was scheduled to hit the stage, writing: "Los Angeles, thank you so much for one of the most unforgettable nights of the tour last night (sic). You guys were such an unbelievable crowd. I was so excited to sing and dance with you again tonight.

"However, after the show I started to feel unwell and I woke up this morning with a virus that has knocked me off my feet. I'm so sorry that I am unable to perform tonight".

The concert has been rescheduled for 3 September.

Shakira insists this will be the only show affected by her illness, and the tour will continue in Anaheim, California on Friday, August 31. The singer's El Dorado Tour continues until 3 November, when she'll wrap up the trek in her native Colombia.
